Safeguarding On-Line Test (28th Apr 10 at 11:09am UTC)
There's an on-line test/training package for safeguarding here which all staff need to complete. As soon as you've registered you can go to the next page and sit the test, which should take you about half an hour. At the end of it you can print your certificate which then goes onto your file for CPD (so I'm told). A word of warning: the website is very clunky - I couldn't get it to work on my PC but it worked on Jemma's
Re: Fire Risk Assessment (21st Apr 10 at 3:01pm UTC)
I have now read this post. (Well, not this post, I've just written [or should that be typed?] this one, although I will read it before I post it.) Anyway, I've read the post above. Honest.
I have just completed a fire risk assessment for Catten College. I am also in the process of updating the other risk assessments for the college. They're all available to read in the white Health and Safety folder which is on the shelf in the admin office. If you feel the urge, please come and have a look at them. They're REALLY exciting!*
*may not be really exciting, may actually be very boring.
Well... it is my pleasure to announce the next Learner Health Awareness Day will be on Tuesday, 27 April. It'll follow a similar format to the last one, so please let all your learners know about it
We've also got some ladies from the NHS coming to talk about / administer the HPV (cervical cancer) vaccine. If any learners want to have this done on the day they will need to bring a signed consent form with them. Ask me, Lexi or Andrea for a form.
